Bradford Pothole Club - Caving

The BPC is a caving club based in the Yorkshire Dales, North West England. The Dales is arguably the finest caving region in the UK, as well as one of the country's most popular National Parks.
In addition to information about the Club, we've tried to include something of appeal to anyone interested in the Dales, or perhaps wondering about taking up caving.

The Bradford Pothole Club's Headquarters, Brackenbottom is a traditional Dales longhouse located in the hamlet of Brackenbottom, near Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Known to members as 'The Dump' (-a historical term dating from the 'old days' when the club only had a tackle dump in the Dales, not descriptive ! ), Brackenbottom provides an ideal base for caving and other outdoor activites in the Dales. The footpath up Penyghent starts just outside the door, and it's a good starting point for local caves such as Penyghent Pot, Little Hull Pot, Hunt Pot etc.
